JFDI developed Transaction Manager, a configurable compliance and regulatory management solution for private equity, evolving from proof of concept through MVP using the Locodium low-code platform.
Customer Challenge
Our private equity client faced increasing demands for rigorous auditing and evidence-based compliance with complex regulatory requirements. To streamline the management of investment structures and enhance transparency, JFDI was engaged to create a solution that would simplify administration tasks and support compliance procedures effectively.
Proof of Concept
The PoC was specifically designed to automate the creation of transaction templates, each activated with tailored variables upon initiation. These variables trigger event instances, guiding user teams through detailed procedures associated with investment structure management. Complex routine transactions, such as Annual Accounts, could then be efficiently targeted to specific entities within investments, enabling comprehensive oversight of regulatory compliance across the entire investment lifecycle.
Throughout the PoC stage, JFDI maintained daily collaboration with the client, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals. Progress was accelerated using JFDI's proprietary Application Framework (JAF), a robust foundation built upon reusable components ideal for modern software development.
Following successful PoC delivery, JFDI and the client defined and approved detailed requirements for the MVP, paving the way for further enhancements.
Transitioning to an MVP with Locodium
Concurrent to this project, JFDI's Application Framework evolved into a comprehensive low-code/no-code solution, now branded as Locodium. To expedite development and fully leverage our developers' capabilities, the Transaction Manager MVP was developed using Locodium. The MVP, deployed in the client's Microsoft Azure environment, significantly enhanced the efficiency of the application development process. Additionally, Locodium empowered the client's internal IT team with a powerful low-code platform, supporting the emergence of citizen developers within the organisation.

The MVP received highly positive feedback upon deployment, highlighting its considerable potential for continued evolution and enhancement.

Transaction Manager is now a configurable, ready-to-deploy solution tailored for the private equity sector. It serves as a critical safeguard for investors, providing detailed oversight of transaction processes, comprehensive regulatory compliance monitoring, and dynamic dashboards that facilitate proactive management.
JFDI intends to harness the adaptability of Locodium to transform additional proofs of concept and existing industry-specific applications into robust, market-ready solutions.
